Emergency Medical Technician (Basic)

Description: Emergency medical technician course is a skilled based program wherein Emergency medical technician is trained in basic emergency care skills, such as V cannulation, oxygen therapy, physical examination, assisting emergency child birth and essential newborn care, automated external defibrillation, airway maintenance, CPR, spinal immobilization, bleeding control, and fracture management. An EMT is trained for administration of medications always under medical direction over radio or phone.
Eligiblity: 10+2/BA/BSc.

Career Prospects: An emergency medical technician can work in many areas in a healthcare setting like surgery centers, hospitals, private ambulance service, fire department, police department, colleges, large hotels, amusement parks etc.
Salary: The salary range differs as per the workplace but the average salary ranges from around 1.8 lakh to 3.0 lakh per annum.
